Play for Tay

Feb 15, 2026

In Loving Memory of Taylor Anne Piskor | May 29, 2001- March 3, 2016

On January 10, 2016, Taylor and her dad were involved in a motor vehicle accident while driving home from her hockey game. Taylor sustained serious injuries and remained in hospital until she passed away on March 3, 2016. Throughout that time, her Caps teammates thought of her every time they stepped onto the ice, without their #16.

Taylor was a talented and passionate player who brought energy, laughter, and heart to her team. She was a leader on and off the ice and was admired by teammates and younger players alike.

Ten years ago, the hockey community came together for a Play for Tay event to honour Taylor and raise funds. Today, the Caps once again Play for Tay, because a Caps player is never forgotten.

Taylor’s family would like to thank Central Plains, Hockey Manitoba, and the Westman Wild Cats Selects for today’s dedication game. Taylor will always be remembered and kept close to our hearts.

During Taylor’s stay at the Children’s Hospital, her family stayed at Ronald McDonald House Manitoba
